I hope everyone had the best summer possible during this pandemic and is looking forward to taking art classes again with in-studio classes or with virtual private lessons!

Drawing and painting is wonderful for the mind. Studies show it has the same benefits as meditation, helps you focus, and even helps to build new connections in the brain!

  • I am sending out a reminder to those who have registered for fall art classes to let you know that classes resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8th.
  • For anyone wanting to take classes this fall, please register early if you wish to have a specific day and time as I only will be accepting 6 students per class. Check out the schedule and register for classes at

https://pygmalionartschool.com/ or contact me by email at drorriss@gmail.com

Pygmalion has been open to in-studio classes since June 1st and during July and August.  The students are required to wear masks, use hand sanitizer when entering the studio, practice social distancing (one student per table), and hand washing. High traffic areas and supplies are cleaned and sanitized regularly after each class.

In addition to the washable face masks I am selling online of my own artwork from a Canadian company in Montreal, I have had several students order face masks from Artsonia of their own artwork! They look great so you may want to check it out as it looks like we will all be wearing masks for awhile.
